Selling my 2004 King cat that I have owned for the last 8 years. Purchased this sled for the original owner with 2100 miles on it. It now has 3602 on the clock. This sled was performance modified by Doug Ruth, local snowmobile drag racing champion, outlaw division. He worked at Union bay in the 90's. This sled starts easy cold, idles perfect and has massive power. Cylinder compression comes in at 145LBS on the PTO side and 148LBS on the Mag side, perfect. This sled is also collectable because it was one of the performance sled of its day. I took this sled back to Doug at the beginning of last season and had a complete tear down and engine rebuild. Crank was sent off and trued balanced and rebuilt by a top notch machine shop. All new seals, bearings, pistons and cylinders were sent off for new nickel plating. Has twin SLP performance pipes. Simmons twin skeg skis. Cylinders had the ports polished and modified By Doug Ruth and the heads were shaved for maximum air intake and combustion efficiency. Compression ratio is at 13:1, Doug says the motor puts out between 175 to 180 horse power. Yes, this sled is stupid fast and pulls like a freight train. All of the lights, dash lights, speedometer, tail light, brake light, hand warmers work as they should. This sled would not be a good choice for a beginner snowmobiler, too much power. As long as you can hold on to the throttle it's all ski's in the air. I don't know the top speed, I have had it up to 95MPH and that was fast enough for me. This sled has always been stored in doors and under cover in off season is fogged and moth balls under the hood to keep the mice out. Comes with a box of spares, Hot Dogger, couple of helmets, Arctic Cat jacket SZ mens XL and a spare track. 3 spare belts. Helmets are XL and LG. I have all the receipts, owners manual, extra factory key, Factory parts catalog and service manual. Is registered in my name. This has been an excellent sled and I have tons of fond memories riding the State provided recreational areas here in the Pacific Northwest. This sled has not been jumped, rolled or glanced off of trees. Never been run into anything, no seat tears, paint and decals are clean and have good colors and not all scratched up. Excellent condition for its age. I am selling this sled to make room for a little newer sled, a 2014 Polaris 800. This sled is ready to be taken to the mountains today and be ridden, it needs nothing except for a registration for 2026 and maybe some fresh paint on the pipes. Always run on premium grade non ethanol fuel.
