For sale is my 2020 Silver Sky core with maple fretboard, Tungsten finish, and 635JM single coil pickups, which Gemini tells me may be sweeter sounding than the pickups supplied over the next two years. These pickups sound great. The 7.25” radius lends itself to string bending and you can see from the pictures there is wear in spots to the fretboard, although none that I can see to the SS frets themselves. There are a handful of small nicks which I’ve tried to highlight, the most notable of which is a nick on the treble horn. This is the only spot where some paint is lost. Also note the crack in the scratch plate in that photo. Absent from these pictures is the tremolo bar, which will arrive in a week and will be supplied along with the PRS gig bag.
I’m the second owner of this guitar and to my knowledge everything is original. I’m only selling because my hands are developing arthritis and I’m replacing the Silver Sky with a PRS Hollowbody Piezo which will be more comfortable to barre than my acoustic. I will miss this guitar, which, because of its playability and inviting tone, has made me a better guitarist. However, I’m not a collector.
