I graduated from Bates College with a BA in Mathematics and received my master's in secondary education, specializing in math, from the College of William and Mary. I have taught and tutored from middle school through community college.
I enjoy helping students on an individual basis. With tutoring, I can tailor the lesson plans to the student's unique needs. It gives me great joy to be part of the "aha" moment when a particular concept finally clicks.
During my teaching career, I have tutored students in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, and Pre-Calculus. What makes me stand out, however, is my experience parenting my 26-year-old son with autism. He has truly taught me patience and forced me to devise creative ways of teaching.
I want to ensure the success of all the students I am tutoring. Please don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions or concerns. I am always open to any suggestions or resources you may have. I am quick to respond and schedule a lesson.
