CHICKS pullet chicks hatched 02-03-26. They have been vaccinated for mareks. These pullets are within 2-3 weeks of starting to lay.
coco espresso pullet chicks - $50 each or 4/$190
This is my first year with these, so all I have is information from the hatchery, other than my experience from raising them so far. They are outside with no heat and are perching.
I have other pullet chicks that are the same age and price so you can mix and match:
Sapphire sky - lay olive or light brown eggs
Mystic marans - lay dark brown eggs
Royal Sussex – shades of green to blue, small chance of light brown eggs
Info from the hatchery:
Father is a black copper marans and mother is a Rhode Island Red hen
The hens will have black and brown feathers as adults...Note from me: this one is interesting because I got both red chicks and black chicks, no doubt because of the parentage...The red ones do not look like they will be black and brown adults. It's a stretch, but you might be able to call them brown as adults, but there's a reason Rhode Island Reds are called that.
They are cold hardy
They are dual purpose (for eggs and meat)...Note from me: so probably they won't fly much other than to get up on their perches at night.
Should start laying eggs by 20 weeks
Will lay about 250 eggs per year (4-5 eggs per week)
The eggs should be a very dark brown
They prefer free range
Regarding communication and sales:
I use email to do communications to set up see/buy appointments. I have had poultry stolen when I used phone/text.
I don't monitor emails or sell on Sundays.
