This is an un-issued, USIA RE-CON Sniper Bag. This heavy duty waterproof bag has a built in buoyancy control system just like a SCUBA BCD. It can be orally inflated or hooked up to a LP inflator hose.
The bag is 60 inches long and 20 inches wide. It is a essentially a dry-suit with a waterproof zipper, bonded to a heavy-duty abrasion resistant, Codura outer shell. The Codura shell is also zippered to protect the drysuit zipper and keep it sand free. It has compression straps, removable padded backpack straps, purpose built SCUBA fin retainers, a shoulder strap, dump/overpressure valve, and multiple D rings, all with heavy duty stitching.
This bag was developed with the US Marines Special Operations Command and was manufactured in Oregon.
