Imagine Children's Museum in Everett, WA is looking for a Specialized Programs Lead to join our Team! This NEW position will be based out of our Museum. It is a part time position which requires flexibility as many of our specialized programs are held on evenings and weekends.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing, implementing, managing and evaluating programs for children (ages 1-12)/families who face a variety of challenges. A counseling, social service or experience of working with diverse groups who may have multiple risk factors is important.
Essential requirements include but are not limited to:
Working with diverse audiences
Building community partnerships that support programs
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers
Ability to create work plans, set expectations, collect and report data
Creative, innovative, engaging and fun-loving
Passion for engaging with children and families, especially those with significant needs
Flexibility to meet the schedules of programs, partner meetings and other work that is essential to successful specialized program success.
Education and work experience:
Associates of Arts degree or equivalent required preferably in Social Work; Bachelor of Arts degree strongly preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Non-profit organization in one or more of the following fields: social work, counseling, program development and/or social services
