Newly formed tiki band. We are bass, keys, vibes, percussion and drums. Hoping to ADD pedal or lap steel, maybe tenor sax, guitar...?
We practice in Lake Stevens. Influences include Ixtehuele, Tikiyaki Orchestra, Kenny Sasaki, The Manakooras, Les Baxter, Martin Denny, Tipsy, Robert Drasnin, Arthur Lyman, etc.
We're doing originals and appropriate covers.
Killer virtuoso chops NOT required, but some familiarity with jazz-type chord progressions is. We play interesting music.
