This slick super clean 1990's Korean made Samick Stratocaster will surpass all your expectations. This sweet axe is in super condition for a guitar over three decades old. This SM1 series issue has a brass plated 5 way selector switch along with steel base plated pickups. A highly unique and notable feature is the pickup pole pieces are staggered like the early American Strats. Most of the early Samick SM series guitars have all level pole pieces which definitely produces an overall different Tone Profile. These pickups are perfect for blues or rock. The Neck pickup measures 7.8 ohms, Middle measures 7.9 ohms and bridge measures 8.0 ohms. The neck is solid Rock Maple which produces all the quality tones one could ask for. Back of the neck has a rosewood skunk stripe. Additionally the neck is straight as an arrow with sleek and subtle action measuring 1.25 mm at the 12th fret with no buzzing. The sound quality is quite amazing as it far surpasses many of the more modern offerings by Fender and competitors. This axe is light years ahead in quality and performance when compared to the Mexican and Player series guitars. It is little wonder why these early issue Samick Strats are respected and revered by musician's world wide. Body is Solid Alder wood with the traditional belly carve, she tips the scale at 7.45 lbs . Price is Firm, Locals Only, Cash & Carry, No Trades.
