30 watt EL34 + 12AX7 Phase Inverter power section with a solid state "Split Channel" JCM800 style preamp- Marshall crunchy clean with a boost circuit- Nails that "Appetite for Destruction" tone far better than the AFD amplifiers- some catalogs and price lists put these in the JCM800 category- but actually a lot more gain! A good boost will get you a far more modern distortion then youd think!! Matched up with its original 1965B Straight cab with four ten inch celestions for great mids and a solid punch where it counts. Great amps for the living room, the studio, anywhere you want Marshall sounds- but the mini stacks just wont cut it. Real high gain british valve tone in a smaller portable rig. Tolex has some wear and tears but 40 years will do that. Small tear in grill cloth but priced right. Sold ONLY AS A SET- with the heads selling around $600 and the cabinets going for $400 i have discounted the amp accordingly. Sounds great looks great. Never abused in my ownership. Price is firm and fair. Old tube amp so as is, but can test or bring your tech along. Stock w no mods. Thanks for looking. Offers ignored lowballs blocked. Trades? An older Les Paul Classic or Deluxe. No studios or tributes- maybe the right special. Must have fretboard binding!
