Learn the violin using the Suzuki method. I specialize in teaching violin to young students with no experience to beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. I strive for greater playing ability in a nurturing environment while always making a beautiful sound.
My music education focuses the student through immersion, encouragement, small steps, and an unforced timetable for learning material based on each student's development and ability to imitate examples and internalize principles. Regular consistent practice is required and parent involvement is encouraged for younger students. Reviewing material, position, intonation, and bow techniques to always make a beautiful sound is of primary importance.
Weekly lessons at my home in Mukilteo begin at $120 per month for half hour sessions. Although, you may want to consider hour lessons or 45 min sessions. I can be flexible depending on your schedule and budget. I start with the Suzuki method for beginners.
I live close to Kamiak High School. It would be great to set up a trial lesson where you can see where I live and we can meet. I also occasionally make arrangements to meet in student's homes at $75 per hour. Give me a call (425)387-5401 or message. Looking forward to it.
I have had violin lessons with Jared for almost 4 months now. I have some basics in violin but had not played for 17 years. Jared helped me to get back to playing pretty fast. His technique is great and the teaching is pleasant. He makes the learning fun. He is also very patient and flexible with my busy work schedule. Thanks!!!
Jared is patient and thoughtful violin instructor who has worked with my thirteen year old son to improve his violin skills- he has made tremendous strides in the past six months. He and my son have selected the pieces to work on together; this has kept my son engaged and motivated to practice at home. He has also been very flexible in adjusting lesson times so as to fit our busy schedule. He has developed a strong rapport with my son whose love for the instrument has grown tremendously. I strongly recommend Jared as a violin instructor.
Jared is a very great instructor; very knowledgeable and extremely talented. Not to mention, a nice guy. I decided to take lessons with him because he seems to understand intuitively how much to push. He is content to let you learn at your own pace and also supportive of any path you might want to go down. I bring in different pieces of music and we have a go at it. I liked him so much that I decided to also bring my 5 (then 4) year old daughter for lessons as we'll. She immediately opened up to him and does amazingly well with him. Needless to say, I highly recommend him.
Jared was my youngest daughter's violin teacher for two years. Lessons were fun and engaging and he was very patient with my energetic daughter who literally couldn't stay in one place during the lesson. My daughter had chosen the violin because her older sister plays (who she adores). A year and a half into her lessons, Jared suggested that the violin did not appear to be a good fit, which I reluctantly agreed. During the next six months, he continued to teach her so she could continue learning music while we decided what instrument would be better suited and allow me time to find a suitable teacher. My younger daughter now plays cello (a paperweight which keeps her in one spot), which as Jared predicted, is better suited to her personality. She loves the cello. He has continued to take an interest in her musical studies and extended an open invitation for her to play in his student recitals so that she can get performance experience because her cello teacher has only a handful of students. I highly recommend Jared as a teacher because he is an incredibly talented musician, is great with children, is active in the local music scene, and most importantly, puts the needs of his students first, even if it means a reduction in his income.
