We are Cynthia and Meg, a mother/daughter team who wants to help your child succeed in the academic areas where they need extra support. We have over 10 years of experience each as a tutor, teacher, and volunteer. We both have a Master's degree in Education. In addition, Meg has an ELL endorsement and Cynthia an endorsement in special education. Cynthia works with younger students, and Meg works with older students. This is how we divide our clients.

We have many references available by request. We tutor at the Edmonds and Lynnwood Libraries. We do have a 24-hour cancellation policy.

We use many resources to provide support and always have time to review homework if needed. However, it does take consistent work on the student's part and we suggest a daily schedule at home to provide consistency for successful homework habits. Retention is absolutely key for learning new concepts in all subjects. For example, reviewing math vocabulary for 10 minutes each day provides a strong base and the repetitive nature allows the brain to absorb and retain the information for longer periods of time.

We have worked with a variety of great students including students with ADD/ADHD, extreme shyness, test anxiety, difficulty organizing projects and low self-esteem. We incorporate technology a great deal into our sessions, as it pertains to academics and real world preparedness.

Meg is proficient in math through high school geometry and in the spring we work on skills for SBA testing, starting in 3rd grade.

We're looking forward to providing individual supports for your students for success in their academics. Please text or call:
