Reserve your 2026 locker lamb now, the list is already filling up for fall and winter harvests! We raise Katahdin Hair Sheep, which are known to be a mild-tasting lamb, and they are very tender and lean. Lambs are forage-fed all summer and fall, and get a small amount of local corn-barley plus some alfalfa in winter, in addition to their local grass hay.
Lambs will be at standard butcher weight, which is 90+ lbs live weight, in the Sept-March timeframe, when they are 7-11 months old. Lambs are $300. You can use my custom-exempt butcher, whom you pay directly for on-farm kill, and custom cut/wrap in his shop; their services are $200/lamb. Or you may do your own processing here if you are a skilled butcher; and are able to plan ahead to schedule a date to come and harvest your lamb (no last-minute inquiries, please). $100 deposit holds your place in line for fall/winter butcher dates. Lambs sell months in advance of being ready for processing, so get your reservation in today!
