Putting my feelers out for anybody needing a groom, stall cleaner, farm sitting, temporary vacation replacement or covering for someone on sick leave, barn help, exerciser, feeder etc. In and around Snohomish county (Woodinville, Bothell, Snohomish, Maltby, Lynnwood, Redmond, Monroe, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, Everett, Arlington, Bothell, etc.), Eastside and Northern King County area.
But here a little about myself.
I'm 45 yrs old, living in Bothell and am mobile. I have 36yrs of horsemanship experience. I managed several farms, a breeding farm, private boarding/training facilities as well as at a mustang rescue and rehab center for a while. I took equine nutrition and equine management classes in college and graduated with distinction. Back home i volunteered for several veterinary clinics and gained a lot insight and experience in the field. For 7 years I have worked at my old boarding barn when the owners hauled out of state to go to shows. I have worked at several hunter/jumper/dressage/boarding facilities as well. All barns I had worked at and boarded at housed on average between 13 to 25 horses. So I'm aware of the amount of work it takes to manage a bigger herd and am not scared to get my hands dirty. I know how much committment goes into doing this kind of work. I've been offering barn sitting since 2020 and have a consistent returning client base.
I'm experienced in detecting lameness, signs of colic, behavioral issues as well as other medical issues etc. I know how to handle anything from new born foals, weanlings, yearlings, pregnant mares, stallions as well as problem horses. I have also been a mobile trainer since 2007 in Snohomish, Ling, Pierce, Grays harbor, Thurston and Kitsap County as well as spent one year in Kansas. I've been around the block a few times and am knowledgable without pretending to know it all, motivated, reliable, hard working, versatile, self sufficient, capable to work independently, very responsible, respectful and love working with horses and people. I enjoy being helpful and supportive. I'm also a bit of a neat freak and like to keep things looking nice and clean. Equine nutrition has been my little obsession here for a few years.
I grew up riding english back home in Germany but most certainly know my way around a western barn too. I've started several youngsters including my own and really love working with young horses. The last 12 years I focused more on correct conditioning training without sacrificing a horse's soundness. I have trained my mare completely with clicker training.
I can drive a Tractor, drag arenas, move manure piles etc., use electric tools like blower, chain saw, etc.
Id like to find someone who would be able to hire me as independent contractor only at this time.
And I'm pretty flexible on days and time right now. So I'm available on short notice for emergencies, holidays and fill ins.
I'd be more than happy to provide references if needed.
For questions on my fees, please send me an email with your needs and I'll get back to you asap.
