Aerating and Dethatching your lawn has many benefits. Lawns need air water and fertilizer to get to the root zone where its needed. Often when aerating in the spring even after days of solid rain the cores of soil my machine pull are wet on one end and dry on the other which means the grass is still thirsty in the rain. When your lawn thins due to this suffocation fertilizer products and water and air cant penetrate deep enough to reach the grass roots so it feeds moss n surface root plants or washes away.
If you have moss in your lawn i can Dethatch/ Powerake it away without hurting lawn. My machine is a Ryan Lawnaire V and it has rolled across hundreds of lawns over Snohomish County.
