This is a mechanics special. I have a 2006 Dodge Durango for sale for 700. And, yes it has a story. It has a 4.7 v 8. I've had this car from day one. It has around 212k miles. It has a towing package. The inside and the outside look great for a 20 year old vehicle. This has been my baby. I put new tires on it a couple of years ago. New rear shocks. If you know this year dodge, you know they had bad exhaust gaskets. I replaced both sides so no problem with that. I replaced the alternator 2 years ago. For the last 5 years I hardly drove it. I kept it because it was my only 4 wheel drive car and used it primarily only when it snowed for the last 5 years. It did great in the snow! I decided to try and get it ready for the snow this year. I changed the oil every 5k miles. It has never burned oil. This year I changed to oil before the 5 thousand miles because it's been sitting since last winter and oil needs to be changed at least once per year regardless of the mileage. I drove it for a little to make sure everything was up to speed. The oil pressure light flickered a bit and then would go out when I brought the idle up. I drove it home and it started to make a little upper end whine. Parked it. Checked to oil level, it was clean and fine. Checked the sensor and it looked fine but was dry when I pulled it out. I took off the oil filter and it was also empty and it should had been full of oil. Did some research and it seems the oil pump is bad or it is plugged. Either way, the oil pan would need to be dropped to fix it. I don't have the space to do the work or the desire to lay on the ground outside. (I'm a little older than the car :) ). It's a sweet car and I hate letting it go but it's now just sitting in my driveway. So, if you have some mechanical sparts and aren't afraid of getting dirty, it could be a sweet deal for you. Send me an e-mail and we can take it from there.
