I love this truck and its 6.2L V8. Very clean cosmetically for the mileage and year. Mostly stock with only light modifications including a Flowmaster exhaust, Volant intake, and Method wheels. Interior leather is in fantastic shape, body and paint have been very well cared for. Runs and drives well overall.
Known issues:
-Passenger side exhaust manifold leak
-Torn driver side CV axle boot
-Toyo tires are getting worn
-Occasional 4th→5th gear surge
I recently purchased the truck and the transmission behavior was not accurately disclosed to me by the seller. I have not flushed the transmission fluid or attempted any repairs. The truck still has the original lead frame and the recall was never completed, which was one of the maintenance items I planned to address while troubleshooting the shift behavior. I ended up finding another truck and simply don’t have the time to go through this one. My loss is your gain.
