We are a growing custom metal fabrication company located in South Everett. We support the Construction and Aerospace industries and are seeking welder/fitters to join our team. At this time, we are primarily fabricating structural steel, metallic hand railing and stairs, awnings, canopies, fences, gates, platforms and ornamental metals. Experience in this type of estimating and project management is preferred.
This position is responsible for estimating all projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents. Working closely with the Sales Manager on new bid opportunities and estimates. Managing projects throughout every step of the process will be required. Ensure that budgetary targets are being met and that profit margins are in line with company goals. Pay is based on Experience. Competitive Wages and Benefit Package.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares estimates by analyzing material and labor requirements
Reviews customer drawings, specifications and related documents
Manage the process of cost estimates and ensures a quick turn-around time for customers waiting on bids
Tracks actual cost against bid estimate to ensure profit margins are being achieved
Meet with material suppliers to ensure pricing remains competitive
Manages multiple projects from the bid stage to final delivery
High attention to detail while under tight deadlines
5 or more years of experience in the estimating field
5 or more years of experience in the Project management field
Create and maintain an efficient and thorough system for tracking and scheduling all jobs.
Support the General Manager in driving the company vision to fulfillment
University degree preferred
10 years relevant work experience in metal fabrication shop
Proven history of Project management and estimating
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite- Word and Excel in particular
Excellent attention to detail
Good customer service and people skills
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and maintain drug free throughout work contract
