Job Description
Covalon Technologies AG Ltd. is actively looking for talented people to join our growing team of motivated, passionate professionals in the United States. We are a rapidly growing medical device company in the vascular access and wound care markets with unique patented products.

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist/Material Handler works in close coordination with Order Processing, the Shipping & Receiving Manager and Production to ensure timely and accurate shipment/delivery of company product to Covalon Technologies AG distributors and customers, accurate receipt of inbound materials as well as coordinate the movement of material on and off the production floor. Will operate the forklift/pallet jack/straddle stacker to perform various material distribution activities.


Support the shipment of goods produced to our customer base.
Pick, pack and ship orders accurately and generate the appropriate documents.
Responsible for coordinating carrier pickup arrangements upon a successful final inspection.
Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.
Responsible for monitoring stock levels of the shipping materials and requesting replenishment through the appropriate channels.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition while following prescribed safety regulations.
Receives incoming material, inspects for shipping/packaging damage, processes receiving documentation and moves material in warehouse/production as needed.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager.
Moves completed product from production to the warehouse, coordinating with the Production Lead and Shipping & Receiving Manager.
Conducts inventory cycle counts of production material and finished goods.
Operates and maintains forklift and other material handling equipment, to include but not limited to; scales, hand trucks, dollies and rolling racks.

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one to two years of factory related experience in shipping and receiving and material handling.
Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, have good communication skills and use simple math.
Proficient working knowledge of a computer, ability to type 25 words per minute, and operate a 10-key keyboard.
Fork-lift certification and driving experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and insurance.

Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks; be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter data into the computer, to acknowledge shipment of the goods into the ERP database.
Familiar with and understand international freight documentation and regulations.
Must be able to fill out Bills of Lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by major freight carriers.
Must be able to communicate and coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with various freight carriers.
Must be familiar with common packaging methods and able to interpret written and visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and be a licensed fork-lift operator.
Experience with UPS/FEDEX/USPS online software is desirable.

Physical Demands:
Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility

Work Environment:
Majority of the day will be spent standing and or walking while performing pick, pack and shipping operations.
Work performed in a combination of warehouse and office environments.
May be exposed to manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.
