I have never been stuck in this car in the snow, not even once. I can park on hills in the snow and just start climbing from a stand still. This is the absolute best snow car I have ever driven.
This trim level has the most reliable engine and transmission combo of any of the Impreza options.
I got this car for the specific reason that it is the best AWD manual that is space efficient, cost efficient, fuel efficient, and fun to drive. It's surprisingly good handling at speed has saved my life before when driving at night and dodging road debris.
I have replaced the clutch and have receipts for it and several other services, most of the maintenance I have done myself.
Several cosmetic issues present, that are noted in the pictures. The front driver's side bumper has a scrape on it and the doors have been dinged by other people parking too close and swinging the doors open. This is a Subaru over 100K miles, it burns oil. It will consume about one quart in-between each oil change. There is some sort of issue that I haven't been able to diagnose with the cabin fan, it only works on the lowest speed.
If you want to drive to the mountains and go skiing it will easily fit any kit under 189CM even without a roof box. This is a perfect vehicle for exploring the best the west coast has to offer, and not break the bank along the way. I am 5'7" and can comfortably sleep in the back with a sleeping bag and mat.
