I have a 78 GMC Jimmy 4x4 (my pride) but she's gotta go, Unfortunately I dont have the time for her any longer and I can't have her just sitting. As much as I dont want to get rid of her, I have to. I will NOT even lie, she has rust, but for her age you can either take her as she is or maybe someone may want to do something with it or just drive it as she sits (I call her my Redneck Express) Your choice. She is not perfect or close to by any means, shes got some quirks.
She has a small block 400 and turbo 350 trans as I believe I was corrected on that. , the linkage may need adjusted as reverse you gotta get in the right spot and let it engage. Other than that she runs and drives very well. Its the original motor with 80k miles on it, its always ran good for me, newer power steering pump and fuel pump. Doesnt have anything fancy on the motor, do have some all chrome valve covers in the box still and brand new warn hubs. But thats really about it. She has the half removable top, not the full like prior years. Has a stereo, it has a brand new battery that i wasnt trying to let go of with it, but possibly could if you dont have one. AGAIN, SHE DOES HAVE RUST, mainly around the door rocker panels, common for that era, around the doors by the top and in the wheel wells, but I have stated that i definitely wont lie about that and make it sound like shes some Gem, maybe one in the rough but thats in my eyes not everyone elses. The tires are decent, they are 31s (I believe) with a good amount of tread on them. Im asking $1300 obo but please no low balls. Any questions feel free to email me. Thanks Amber.
