I have a 1974 SCHWINN SPORTS TOURER ten speed bicycle. It belonged to my father who bought it brand new in 1974 and I still have the original receipt. It is in excellent condition with a couple of minor scratches (it was ridden by my father) but was well cared for. I have replaced the tubes, tires and brake pads. For the tires I selected a slightly aggressive knobby tire for todays rugged urban environment. This bicycle was built in Chicago, USA and has a light weight chrome molybdenum frame. The crank set is also light weight and made of aluminum. It has a 24" frame and 27" x 1 1/4" Weinmann rims with the short style aluminum fenders. This was the top shelf light weight ten speed of the seventies.
