This beautiful baby cereal bowl is made of ceramic with transfers. It is an absolute mint condition with the exception of slight crazing. This was a giveaway from a Torrance, California business called Torrance Pharmacy that was once owned by George L Probert, and was once located on the corner of Carson and Cabrillo avenues. I believe this is circa 1920s based on the telephone number given (3J) and the artwork. The writing on the bottom appears to be 22 karat gold. As you can see in the inside bottom of the bowl, the nursery rhyme “Seesaw Marjorie daw Jack shall have a new master. She shall have but a penny a day because she can’t work any faster.” The bowl measures 8.5” across.
