This solid pine writing desk is great for a child's room. It offers storage and a place to do homework. Our children used it when they were in school, but we do not need it any longer. The desk is structurally in great shape and has no significant scratches. I installed friction reduction tape which makes the drawers glide even more easily than when it was new.
A while back, I sanded the top, intending to refinish it, but never got around to it. You can easily refinish the top with some polyurethane and the desk will be ready for use. If you are more ambitious, you could repaint the blue areas with the color of your choice and it would look even better.
