You will need:
-A Laptop or Computer
-Microsoft Word or Open Office (free)
-Reasonable WPM (since this is a 'work at your own pace' 1099 job [you technically work for yourself and are a freelance writer], having a high WPM with good accuracy will allow you to write more each hour).
-Good English (all of the writing jobs are in English, having better English skills will ensure the maximum job opportunities).
-Understanding how to do a little light research on the topics for each job assignment (i.e. this does require knowing how to use Google).
We are looking for writers. This is a "work from home" position. It is also a "freelancer" position, meaning, you are a 1099 contracted employee (technically, you are self-employed, so you choose your own hours). There are many job opportunities which you will be able to browse in our network, should we determine you are one of the right candidates for the job.
You can "accept" the jobs you want to write, knowing how much they earn and their requirements. This is a realistic job, and does require work. If you have little writing experience, or are less knowledgeable on a particular topic, you might expect to earn $8-12 an hour; whereas if you have experience writing essays, or something similar, you may be able to earn upwards of $40 an hour. No plagiarism is allowed. If your writing is copied from somewhere else or is otherwise not unique, it will be rejected.
After you submit a job and the editors approve it, your weekly pay check increases (we pay each week, checks go out Sunday night). You can keep track of your earnings (what we owe you, and what you've been paid) from your Writer's Panel. Every writer is assigned a Writer account. The writer account allows the writer to see new job listings, accept the jobs they want and submit jobs when they are complete.
There are all types of topics, industries and subjects which will show up in the job listings panel. Some jobs may be easier for you than others, and thus you may find yourself more efficient claiming those listings and leaving the industries less familiar to you, to the other writers who can also see the panel. Most of the jobs do not require the intensive "citing" work that is commonly found throughout college research papers, however, some of the more complex job listings may specifically request it. It is easy to view each job's requirements before you accept a job; this way you will always know what will be necessary to accomplish the task. As you understand the process, you'll find it easier to pick the jobs from our lists best fit you as a writer and to earn the most.
If you are interested, please email us and let us know your experience level. We will then request a sample of your writing, which may be an essay, blog, article, or anything you have written which is "unique" and belongs to you.
