Wanted for a full-time position in a growing and committed marketing department - an experienced, versatile writer with a good track record and the writing samples and references to back it up.

We are Early Growth Financial Services, the nation's largest accounting, tax, and fractional CFO firm exclusively for startups. We're ten years old and we work with 15-20% of America's venture-backed companies at some point in their lifecycle. Founders and their teams work with us to make sure their investors have current and correct financial reports; to get advice from our consulting CFO's on how to run their business as effectively as possible to earn profit, preserve cash, and expand their operations; and to free themselves up to grow their business.

You are a writer who (ideally) knows the entrepreneurial world and (even more ideally) understands financial management for young companies, especially those seeking outside investment. At a minimum you have experience researching topics and are a fast learner. You are also a deft marketing copywriter who can work with our CMO and the rest of our team to help us tell the world who we are and what we do. Your writing will include -

Blog posts each month on topics including client profiles and case studies, think pieces written with our leadership, pieces detailing financial laws and best practices, and more

Copy for our website, which we will be refreshing over the next 12-18 months

Customer and partner success stories.

One-pagers and short copy blocks promoting our offerings to our clients, from tax-only services to 409a valuations to VC introductions to our full-service offerings including tax, accounting, and CFO consulting hours

Copy promoting our events in our main markets (SF, Silicon Valley, LA, NY, Seattle) via the web and email. Events include monthly "Meet the VC" gatherings in each market; quarterly panel discussions in each market; webinars; and more.

Professional staff profiles

And plenty of other copy as needed by partners and our sales team

Extra credit if you have experience with graphics programs like Canva, the Adobe suite, or similar.PowerPoint capability is also desirable.

This role reports to our CMO, is full-time, and pays commensurate with experience (60/70's K range). SF Bay area or Seattle area desired.

Qualifications include:

5+ years of B2B marketing writing and/or subject-matter writing expertise within the financial services field

Excellent verbal communications and the ability to connect with a sophisticated audience of business owners hungry for quality material they can learn from

An audience-focused and benefit-led approach to marketing and a can-do attitude

Ability to write on deadline with modest direction

Enough ego to speak with authority and defend creative choices, and the grace to take editing with appreciation and a learning opportunity

Self-directed and able to work independently

Great sense of humor (including about self and colleagues) and a genuine interest in all things related to startups and business growth

To apply, please submit:
