On-Call only: If you’re available when we call → great. If not → no problem, no pressure.
Pay – On-Call: $80/hr labor — 1-hour minimum; any time over 1 hour rounds up to the next ½ hour (1:10 = 1.5 hrs).
Pay – Full-Time (if selected): $30–$40/hr (DOE); shop + yard + limited road service; company tools and vehicle may be provided; long-term opportunity.
Work area: ~25-mile radius of Kent, WA.
Mileage (road calls only): 8am–5pm $2.00/mile (one way); 5pm–8am $3.00/mile (one way), from Ernie’s Kent Truck Stop (98032).
Work type: Mostly in-yard; limited, minor road calls only.
Work includes: Tires, brakes, wheel seals/hubs, suspension, steering, cooling systems, air systems, fuel systems, electrical diagnostics, minor engine repairs etc.
Requirements: 3+ years diesel mechanic experience; ON-CALL MECHANIC must have own tools & service vehicle; able to work independently; professional and safety-focused.
