Metagyre is known for complex data warehouse projects. We are seeking an early career team member to join our growing business. The project coordinator position is key to the success of our methodology for running complex IT projects. The IT project coordinator manages project segments and completes project tasks adhering to the process and guidance of the project manager, tower leads or program manager (project leadership). This position is a career accelerator, you will be given excellent training and participate in very sophisticated IT projects.

Job Accountabilities:
• Establish close relationship with project leadership
• Foster a trusted working relationship with project stakeholders
• Lead segments of the project through the process
• Lead small teams in the development of project work plan
• Manage small teams in the completion of work as described in project work plan
• Work with project leadership to manage / monitor /maintain deliverables and milestones defined in the project plans
• Participate in regularly scheduled internal and external project meetings
• Lead status meetings to stakeholders
• Develop status and communications for project leadership
• Perform administrative duties associated with project meetings as well as other project activities and calendaring needs.
• Organize and maintain project libraries
• Create and maintain prescribed project management artifacts throughout the project's lifecycle
• Assist the team with priorities, scope, budget and scheduling to ensure adherence to project goals
• Assist project leadership in tracking project plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures
• Maintain risk tracking and issue logs
• Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to project team and stakeholders
• Communicate ideas for process improvement with a positive and constructive attitude and develop this attitude in others
• Provide risk updates and escalate issues along with resolution recommendations to project leadership
• Keep project leadership informed on all issues that may impact project goals

Job Qualifications:
• 2+ years of project coordination managing small to medium IT projects  
• Demonstrated desire to pursue a career in IT project management
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Demonstrated willingness to be adaptable and flexible, with the ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities
• Demonstrated effectiveness with verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience creating documentation associated with IT projects
• Experience working with and collaborating across multiple project stakeholder groups (IT engineers, developers, analysts and business users)
• Demonstrated experience leading small teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities across teams
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure and application development processes and methodologies
• Familiarity with project management tools (Smart Sheet is a plus, MS Project)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) or similar office suite product
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently as well as in a team based environment
• Understanding of project management principles and methods
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 additional year IT project coordination experience, or associate degree plus 3 additional years IT project coordination experience
• Able to travel and work at various locations in the larger metro area

• Figure out who within the client organization needs to receive communications about change
• Review test plans with client’s QA staff
• Figure out the client’s procurement process, document it and usher the purchase of equipment through the process.
• Work with client to document creating a “Firewall request”
• Figure out and document various IT engineering teams’ responsibilities and how to secure work through their existing process. “Who makes VPN changes and how do you initiate that request?”
