I built this PC in 2016 and used very high quality components at the time, costing a few thousand dollars back then. This would be an excellent computer for someone who wants to build or configure their own mods.
Here are the specs:
Intel Core i5-6600 3.3Ghz quad-core processor
NVidia GeForce EVGA GTX 970 video card (4GB)
Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P Rev 1.0 LGA1151 Motherboard
Thermaltake Toughpower TPD-0750M - ATX 80+ Gold rated 750W power supply
32GB DDR-2400 (4 x 8GB) memory
Windows 10 Pro
Samsung MZHPV256HDGL-00000 256GB NVMe SSD (primary drive)
Samsung SSD PM830 2.5" 256GB SATA SSD
WD2002FYPS-02W3B0 2.0 TB SATA HDD
WD20EARS-22MVWB0 2.0 TB SATA HDD
WD40EFAX-68JH4N1 4.0 TB SATA HDD
Back in 2015 I purchased and hand-built this (powerful at the time) PC with good quality components. Most importantly, this has a really well designed case - the Phanteks Enthoo Pro - which makes adding new components very easy. The hardware comes with a screw kit and a cable kit to ensure compatibility with as many components as possible. Lots of extra SATA cables, screws, and power cords.
The computer has tons of drive bays and is extremely good for someone who might want to build a storage server.
This computer cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 as the motherboard lacks some BIOS feature I don't fully understand. If you are interested, you could replace the motherboard and upgrade to W11. It's likely (but not guaranteed) that you might be able to continue to use most of the rest of the components. Otherwise, this computer will continue to run Windows 10 Pro.
This would be a great gift for someone who would like to tinker with a PC or spend time upgrading; the case and the components make it very easy to work with.
I am willing to provide a USB mouse and keyboard with the computer if desired (Microsoft Comfort Curve 3000 keyboard, optical mouse). This computer does NOT come with a monitor, however, I will show you the computer working before doing a factory reset/unplugging it to give it to you.
