Position Overview
As an instructor at The Bar Method you will play a vital role in creating a positive and energizing class experience for our clients. If selected after your interview and audition, you will go through our extensive teacher training program to become a certified Bar Method instructor. Once certified and through ongoing continuing educational workshops and training, you will have the knowledge base to design and deliver engaging and challenging Bar Method classes, providing guidance and modifications to accommodate various fitness levels, and fostering a supportive and motivating environment. This position requires strong instructional skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to inspire and empower others.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching:
Plan and deliver safe, effective, and engaging Bar Method classes that align with our class formats, our safety guidelines and member goals.
Demonstrate proper form and technique, ensuring clients understand and execute exercises correctly.
Provide Bar Method approved modifications to accommodate different fitness levels, abilities, and injuries.
Use Bar Method tools to enhance your classes, making them challenging, yet achievable for all clients.
Member Engagement & Retention:
Build strong relationships with clients, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
Greet clients and address their needs, inquiries, and concerns before and after classes.
Encourage participation, and provide personalized recommendations and modifications under The Bar Method guidelines for clients to enhance their workout.
Actively promote other studio offerings, such as pop-ups, challenges, and work closely with other team members to drive sales, increase client engagement and retention.
Class Preparation & Studio Maintenance:
Arrive in studio at least 15 minutes before class time to prepare the studio before each class, ensuring a clean, safe and organized environment, and greet incoming clients.
Stay up to 15 minutes after class to answer client questions, check in with new leads/guests and connect them with sales associated.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the studio’s policies and safety procedures.
Assist in the general upkeep of the studio, including tidying up after classes and reporting any maintenance or equipment issues to management.
Professional Development:
Attend regular meetings and workshops within your studio and online to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Seek regular feedback from other instructors and management to continuously improve your teaching style.
Work with studio owners to build a path to additional certifications for more advanced format offerings.
