1953 Airstream Flying Cloud VIN #7479
Price reduced below appraisal value for Holiday Sale!

We are motivated to sell and will consider reasonable offers. Please read through entire post, and please do come to see the Airstream in-person and meet with me, I'm happy to spend time showing you everything and sharing what knowledge I have. I'm also happy to connect you with professionals who can recommend this vintage Airstream.

I'm only selling because it is time to move on to my next project, so this is your chance to own this beautiful piece of American history! We wish we could keep her. I have owned this Airstream for about a year and we have used it as a guest house, protected in our driveway. We have both done work on it ourselves, and paid professionals. We have not taken it on the road, but had it delivered after it was polished in Idaho.
I have over a hundred photos and a video walk-through that I can email you, and I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

This is a very clean unit which was completed at the factory in Los Angeles, CA and sold out of Idaho Falls at the Elswood dealership in '53. Free and clear, clean 1953 title in-hand, current registration in-hand, all in my name. "Letter of Origin" from Airstream Inc. in-hand. Insurance Company "stated market value" in-hand. Two professional appraisals in-hand which you can use at the DMV for title transfer. Polished, sealed, and waxed.

No black water sewage, no bathroom (room for a portable). New electrical inlet, new breaker box (both 15 amp). I'm running shore power off GFI, so it's very safe. New hitch jack, new wheel bearings, receipts in-hand, completed by Monsterpolish LLC. Supporting paperwork available at showing and included with your purchase.

I'm including lots of extras: front door step, hitch lock, four wheel chocks, four stabilizer stacker jacks, trunk lock, vintage barometer, appraisals, Idaho license plate, vintage 1954 Washington plate, and reproduction art deco logo nameplate for the interior.

Specifications from Airstream Inc: Overall length 21ft; Body length 19ft; Overall height 8'4"; Inside height 6'4"; Overall width 7'1"; Inside width 6'10"; Dry weight 2540#; Hitch weight 250#.

This park model has front dinette "click-clack" couches that convert into a twin-sized bed, and the back benches convert into a bed with newly upholstered 6" thick new high density foam, larger than queen size (fits the wall curve) which is very comfortable.

Dixie Wanderer: Oven over 450 degrees, broiler with three levels, stove with working clock and four working burners, working stove vent fan. Marvel Fridge with icebox under 20 degrees. Panel-Ray furnace, gas boon-docking light, original electric light fixtures, and door-in-a-door with screen. New custom made 100% cotton white curtains (dye them whatever color you like, or I can custom make new ones for you - just pick your color and pattern!). Exterior track for an awning. Rare 13 panel end-cap design in front and rear, interior and exterior. So many rivets!

Double sink, grained wood cabinets, bamboo plank flooring, porch light, 3 roof vents, steel bumper, escape-type rear window. Original "frosted ice crystal" red Formica galley tops with matching removable dinette table, original dinette couch seating. Two original Flying Cloud placards (I had never seen these before!), original art deco logo nameplate, and Elswood, Idaho Falls dealership plate.

An American icon. Early 50's Airstreams are in high demand, and this is a purists dream for serious collectors... or a blank canvas for updating and creating your personal vision: full-time home, guest house, Airbnb, personal office, traveling showpiece, vintage bridal suite, photo booth, corporate photo backdrop, paradise camper, you name it! A luxury 1950's home in an airplane shell! Purchase this Flying Cloud and watch it go up in value. It's a rolling museum. Careful dedication to the original 1953 design has been observed during restoration, and you will find it represents a showroom quality.

I look forward to sharing this treasure with you!
Thank you!
