English Bulldog (Seattle)

Need to find a home for male English bulldog. Meet Frank! He turned 1 in November is up to date on shots, intact. He is such a sweet boy, but unfortunately we are too active for his breed. We are frequently going on hikes, long walks and camping trips and he just does not do well. I feel so bad I didn’t realize just how truly low energy this breed can be.

He does have cherry eye, all of his siblings got it and two of them have had it come back after surgery. Vet has said if it is t causing him discomfort (it’s not) then it isn’t necessary to put him under anesthesia as bulldogs are known to not do well with anesthesia.

We love him very much and this decision was not made lightly. Months were spent trying to make it work, but ultimately, Frank deserves to have the best bulldog life possible. Will be asking a low adoption in case his new family does want to have him undergo cherry eye surgery. Ideally, he can be the only pet in the home, he is such a spoiled brat when it comes to attention. He needs a home without small animals like cats or rabbits as he has a high prey drive. He is great with female dogs, not so much with other males. He is crate trained and knows basic commands.
