This is a Tascam portastudio from the 80s. It features 6 faders and 4 recording tracks. It is very flexible in that you can send any fader to any of the 4 tracks on tape. Very nice pre amps and parametric EQ on each channel. It is in good condition but there are a couple issues. The first is that playback on track 1 does not sound as good as the others. You can get around this by recording things with a lot of gain such as direct input bass guitar, or a loud electric guitar. I assume it is a tape head issue, they probably just need to be cleaned properly. Second issue is the transport, the tape speed can fluctuate. Probably needs a new pinch roller. This same machine in excellent condition would go for over $1000 on Reverb so I have priced accordingly.
