CONDITION:
As with any guitar this age that's been played, there are plenty of signs of wear, but they are fairly minor, such as the basic micro scratches that any finish will acquire over time. The only more visible blemishes are the small dark dot on the upper bout, and a surface scratch near the pickup switch (see blue circles in images).
There is some fretboard wear near the first couple of frets up from the nut, but the frets themselves look good (nice and rounded, not flattened or grooved with wear). See the close-up images of the next to see both.
DESCRIPTION:
Built by Matsumoku in the golden age of Japanese guitar manufacturing. Matsumoku was considered to be the top guitar builder during this era. Electra guitars were imported from Japan by the Saint Louis Music (SLM) of Saint Louis, Missouri from 1971 to 1984.
The X420 Custom Pro is a Semi-Acoustic Electric Guitar. Dual Magnaflux Humbucker pickups, 3-position pickup selector, No "F" holes to reduce feedback (similar to a Gibson Lucille), internal wood slab in middle, ivory binding, a set neck, brass nut and bridge saddle. This guitar will rival any other 335 type guitar out there, a high quality, very well built guitar.
