The Dave Smith Instruments Evolver desktop synthesizer is the first of the legendary Evolver series of synths from Dave Smith, the mastermind behind the Sequential and Sequential Circuits brand of synths. The Evolver is pretty amazing, and it packs a lot of punch, incorporating four 16-step sequencers (each can be different voices), which was revolutionary when the Evolver came out. Intuitive and easy to control, with eight encoders and thirteen buttons, most of which have dual functions with the shift button, the Evolver has Midi IN, OUT, and THROUGH, with stereo left and right 1/4" TR ins and outs. Lots of capabilities and possibilities in this small footprint desktop synth, check the specs on the web. Excellent working order, with just a scuff on the casing, see photos. Evolver is a rare and sought-after classic from Dave Smith Instruments (DSI) that is easy to learn and lots of fun to play with and experiment on. Sonically, it has great presets, and is capable of everything from howling noise to ever-so-delicate interweaving ambient sequences to pounding bass and much more. The Evolver was named such because it is set up to easily allow musicians to develop and program sounds that evolve over time. Evolver(s) can be chained with the Evolver keyboard to double the voices and sequencers, etc., it can get wild! Comes with the long cord original Dave Smith Instruments power cable.
