Beautiful Mahogany 6’ Heintzman Grand Piano, with gorgeous, velvet tone, in great condition. Bought piano in 2012 from a young family who inherited it from their Canadian grandmother. I have recently used a reasonably priced local piano mover/storage service and can share that contact. I have one step to my house.
I love the piano and have been playing it regularly but I just bought an old Steinway that I am having rebuilt and can’t keep both pianos.
There is a standard non-adjustable piano bench that came with the piano as well. Piano serial number is 61308. So per website below, built between 1900-1920 (Serial numbers 15700-61700).
“Undoubtedly the most famous of all Canadian piano manufacturers, Heintzman & Co was a Toronto based piano manufacturer for more than 100 years, producing pianos in Toronto from 1866 to 1978.” Theodore August Heintzman began apprenticing as a builder in 1831 while still in Germany, prior to immigrating to Canada and founding his own piano manufacturing company in 1866. By 1890, the Heintzman factory employed over 200 skilled craftsmen, and was producing more than 1,000 pianos annually. During the first half of the 20th century, Heintzman pianos were highly regarded for their design and build quality, often referred to as “The Steinway of the North”.
