Designed by Bob and myself. Built by Bob in 2015. NO programming is required, given that you stay with the # of pedals on each of the front-end and back end (FX loop) of this system. (See Block Diagram image.) Even if you do not use all the pedal I/O for each of the front end and the FX loop, you can either: remove those cable inputs from the switcher or dummy them out with a ¼” Mono Female-Female 1/4-Inch barrel connector. I have completely changed all the pedals on this 3 times (original choices shown) … with NO reprogramming. (Hey, we are always working for the ‘best’ tone, right??). This is a killer, bullet proof, QUIET switching systems. Each pedal is available with a direct access switch from the RS-T Midi Foot Controller. Any combo of pedals can be easily made into a preset. This means you can easily turn on 1 (or more) pedals at a time, and only that pedal(s), giving you complete control. Detailed capabilities are available at customaudioelectronics web site.

I love this setup as there is no need to bend over and tweak pedals on the floor. I placed this on a keyboard stand just behind the guitar amp. This places the pedals neat waist height. You could place this anywhere, subject to the length of your ¼” cables for amp input, send and return jacks.
Floor Controller:
The RS-T Midi Foot Controller lays on the floor. This includes the Empress Buffer+ (where your guitar cable is input), Korg Pitch Black Tuner, Dunlop DVP3 (Volume/Expression Pedal), and Custom Electronics (Bradshaw) MC404 CAE Wah pedal – NOTE -THE WAH PEDAL IS NOT INCLUDED!). The RS-T supplies power to these pedals. There is a 25’ snake that goes to the Pedal Board. This includes outputs from the Empress Buffer+ (to feed the amp input via the snake to the CAE Pedal Board Switching System), DVP3, and power to the RS-T from the CAE Power System).
The Floor Controller is already programmed so that you can run the Volume control function on the DVP3, or the Expression function. With the Expression function, you can control the expression input of 3 pedals, thanks to the Mission Engineering Expressionator. For your time delay FX – whatever you use (showing Alter Ego Vintage Echo- NOT included), you have 3 Delay selections already midi programmed! I also ran a Strymon Timeline here too.
