This 2012 Ducati Monster 696 Dark ABS was purchased new from Ducati Bellevue in March of 2012. The original owner rode it regularly for the first couple of years, putting just over 5,000 miles on it by the end of 2013. After that, it lived a quiet life, stored indoors in a garage, and started periodically, while still receiving routine oil changes over the years. In August of 2025, Seattle Used Bikes performed the full 7,500-mile service to bring everything current.
At Seattle Used Bikes, we’re committed to offering only top-quality pre-owned motorcycles, and this Monster is no exception. Every bike we sell goes through a comprehensive inspection to ensure all factory-recommended services are up to date. We confirm that each motorcycle is mechanically sound, safe to ride, and presented in clean, well-kept condition, ready for its next owner to enjoy with total confidence.
When this 696 arrived at SUB last week, we decided it was time for fresh rubber, so we mounted a new set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires and performed a complete hydraulic system flush. Our service team handled the work, and no other issues or concerns were found—this Ducati is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.
It also comes equipped with several desirable upgrades, including SpeedyMoto frame sliders, CRG bar-end mirrors, an SC Project slip-on exhaust, and a tidy tail setup.
Included with the bike are both factory keys, the original owner’s manual, and a clean Washington title.
Extended warranty options are available.

The 2012 Ducati Monster 696 ABS continues to hold its place as one of the most well-rounded and easy-to-enjoy motorcycles in the Ducati family. It offers that unmistakable Italian character without demanding expert-level skills, making it a favorite among new riders stepping into the brand as well as experienced riders who want something light, simple, and fun.
Its air-cooled L-twin engine delivers a smooth, predictable spread of power with enough torque to keep things engaging while remaining incredibly manageable in urban environments. The engine note adds plenty of personality, especially when paired with an aftermarket exhaust, and the lightweight chassis makes every ride feel lively and responsive. The six-speed transmission shifts cleanly, and the fueling is refined enough to make low-speed maneuvering easy, which is something not every mid-sized naked can claim from this era.
Comfort is another pleasant surprise. The upright ergonomics, accessible seat height, and light overall weight create a very accommodating package that works well for commuting, quick rides around town, or longer weekend outings. The suspension is straightforward but well-tuned for real-world roads, offering a good mix of stability and compliance.
Visually, the Monster 696 captures everything riders love about the lineage: the exposed trellis frame, compact proportions, and muscular stance. It looks purposeful and timeless, the kind of bike that draws attention without trying too hard. Maintenance needs are reasonable compared to other Ducatis of the period, and the 696 has proven itself to be one of the brand’s most reliable and easy-to-own models.
Overall, the 2012 Ducati Monster 696 ABS remains an appealing choice for anyone seeking a stylish, nimble, and spirited motorcycle that blends approachability with genuine Ducati soul. It’s a bike that still feels modern, still rides beautifully, and continues to offer a rewarding experience every time you swing a leg over it.
