The Designer, Store Development assists in developing innovative store designs within brand goals, with a focus on customer experience and operational efficiency. They work collaboratively with the Store Development team and inter-departmentally to ensure successful execution of projects in accordance with financial, social and environmental goals.

Main Job Responsibilities

•Oversees fixture plan creation for new stores, innovative remodels and new programs while anticipating potential obstacles and providing cost effective and time efficient solutions
•Gathers information from site visits to determine project scope, design direction and analyzes current design methodology to gain insight into department functionality and end user needs
•Works collaboratively with the Merchandising, Store Operations and Marketing teams to develop fixture and millwork design and assists in new program equipment/fixture roll-outs to stores
•Confirms stewardship of resources including fiscal management of all facilities planning, design and construction functions
•Communicates design intent quickly and efficiently to various groups through sketching, dialogue and drawings
•Assists in monitoring internal deadline management, communicating to necessary groups
•Develops and manages implementation of strategic facilities initiatives
•Communicates professionally and effectively with vendors, contractors and architects, holding them accountable for timely and accurate work
•Works collaboratively with architect, kitchen equipment designer, Merchandising, Facilities and Store Operations teams
•Conducts ongoing industry research that helps capture current retail and lifestyle trends into the design process
•Other duties as needed or required

Qualifications and Skills


•Bachelor’s degree in design or architecture
•1+ years’ design experience
•Strong communication skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
•Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a strongly collaborative environment
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and InDesign
•Strong current AutoCAD application and Sketchup
•Understanding of all stages of design development and processes
•Available to work some evenings and weekends based on needs of the project and able to travel to all PCC locations


•Demonstrated proficiency in retail design
•Passion for food and PCC’s values
•Familiarity with Revit
