Summary:
Oversees and manages the individual donor giving program in support of Marketing and Philanthropy goals. The scope of work includes donor communications, prospect research, and various cultivation and stewardship activities. Duties include establishing and creating systems to ensure effective cultivation and stewardship of new, mid-level, lapsed, and direct mail donors related to the donor engagement plan. This position will manage the third party direct mail vendor relationship and budget, oversee the Annual Report, all Annual Fund Campaigns and budgets assist in the development of donor collateral content, Planned Giving and content updates to the Resource Development pages on the website.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages and leads a successful and integrated donor relations program with specific focus on non-major and direct mail donors. Works with Donor Relations Associate to ensure donors are acknowledged and recognized in a timely fashion to strengthen their financial support of Sound Generation programs.
2. Oversees management of our third party direct mail campaign vendor and budget, all data exports to direct mail vendor, data reports and analysis.
3. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of accounting data input for all monthly revenue.
4. Oversees and directs the development and implementation of core communications in multiple mediums. This will include, but not be limited to, the Annual Report, year-end appeals, endowment and legacy giving reports, gift acknowledgements, web pages, invitations, and fundraising campaign materials.
5. Creates and implements impact plan for research, identification, cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of a portfolio of 75-100 mid-level, new and lapsed donors to develop and build sustainable relationships with donors.
6. Tracks donor relations and stewardship activities in the established databases to enhance relationships and increase the likelihood of continued contributions.
7. Enhancements to annual fundraising campaign to take full advantage of donor giving capacity.
8. Collaborates with the CMPO on revising and re-launching the Planned Giving Program. Provide input and feedback on the overall department strategic plan and budget.
9. Builds awareness, interest, involvement, and investments for Sound Generations' programs and services.
10. Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in related field or a minimum of five (5) years' experience in fundraising may be substituted for a degree.
2. Experience using a CRM preferably Salesforce NPSP.
3. Knowledge and proficient use of WordPress, Mail Chimp, and Mobile Cause strongly desired.
4. Demonstrated experience in advancement strategy, fundraising, and donor cultivation, with results that clearly stem from sound fundamental creative writing skills.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills that are effective with a diverse range of audiences including board members, volunteers, internal staff, donors, executives, potential funding partners and all constituents.
6. Background in non-profit fundraising and marketing highly desirable.
7. Proven experience producing marketing collateral, including digital communications.
8. Extensive knowledge of the Pacific Northwest funding community, particularly Seattle and King County.
9. Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, racially, socio-economically diverse individuals.

Skills & Abilities:
1. Ability to plan, communicate, and provide leadership in donor relations for Sound Generations and affiliated Senior Centers.
2. Ability to convey a high degree of commitment and passion for mission of Sound Generations.
3. Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, In Design, Acrobat Pro, etc.).
4. Ability to work as a team member and motivate others to work collaboratively.
5. Highly organized and ability to multi-task while paying attention to detail desirable.
6. Ability to be reliable and dependable in work attendance.
7. Access to a vehicle for transporting.
