"When I began taking lessons with Lisa, I was only able to stutter despairingly in French. Today, I can easily carry on an intermediate-level conversation. Lisa is an amazing instructor, and I highly recommend her services!"
— Margo S., DDS, Los Angeles, CA
"Lisa is a great teacher and her class is first-rate. If she had been my high school French teacher, I would already be fluent. From fine-tuning accent and pronunciation, to teaching great slang and making sure I understood all the verb tenses, her style is full of heart and soul, and above all else, her class is practical. She helped me see the music in the language and made each class relevant. I give Lisa my highest recommendation."

"If you're looking for a French class that is linear and monotonous from which you emerge after a yawning six months only knowing how to say, 'Hello' or 'Excuse me sir, where is the bathroom?' then Lisa's French class is not for you. Lisa's classes have structure, don't worry, but they jump around in a way that is both unpredictable and exciting. One class you might watch a newsclip in French of an earthquake in Haiti, and the next, you'll translate a French poem. Or, one class you might learn about the wine country of Bordeaux and the next you'll learn how to say 'Go f#@% yourself!' She doesn't work on a system of reward and punishment and she is by far the most easygoing teacher I've ever had. Her laid-back style of teaching allows me to do my best, and I have learned an extraordinary amount of the language studying with her. She is a powerhouse teacher and I give her my highest recommendation! — Anna R., Director of Operations, Los Angeles, CAAbout the instructor:
