About the Role

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Part-Time Sewer / Fabricator specializing in awning fabric production.

This role involves sewing custom awning materials, primarily straight-line hems, seaming panels together, installing grommets, and assisting with general fabric preparation for production.

The ideal candidate has experience with industrial sewing equipment, takes pride in clean and consistent work, and enjoys building quality products with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sew straight-line hems and seams for custom awning fabric covers
• Prepare and assemble fabric panels for production
• Install grommets and complete finishing details
• Measure materials accurately and maintain consistency across projects
• Operate industrial sewing machines and related shop equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Assist with general shop production and fabrication tasks as needed

Preferred Experience

• Experience using industrial sewing machines
• Prior work with awnings, canvas, upholstery, marine covers, tarps, or similar fabrication
• Strong measuring and layout skills
• Experience with grommet installation and fabric finishing
• Ability to work independently and produce consistent quality work
• Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Hours: Flexible part-time sewing hours
Pay: Competitive hourly pay based on experience
