Landscaper & Operations Coordinator
July 2026 - August 2028
(2 year position with the possibility for a permanent role)
Non-Exempt– Full Time, 7A-3:30P Tuesday-Saturday
$26.00 to $28.00/hour depending on experience and qualifications

Position Description:
This is a multi-faceted role that includes facilities and operations responsibilities as the school embarks on a major construction effort on campus from June 2026 to August 2027. Each aspect of the role is summarized below:
Landscaper Position Duties:
Aptitude and strong interest in facilities maintenance, groundskeeping, and landscaping
Experience with basic landscaping tasks such as mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, leaf blowing, seasonal clean-up, and general campus beautification
Purchase, plant, cultivate, and water campus trees, hedges, shrubs, plants, and flowers to maintain attractiveness and health
Ability to prune trees and shrubs with proper techniques and awareness of how pruning will affect flowering and plant growth.
Monitor plant health that may require treatment.
Prepare and treat soil for planting and weed control
Rake leaves and remove weeds, undergrowth, and debris from school grounds and landscaped areas
Indoor plant care in classrooms & conference rooms
Maintains campus irrigation systems and performs regular system checks
Clean and maintain campus drains
General campus cleanliness & order
Maintain landscaping equipment and supplies
Other duties as assigned
Operations Coordinator Position Duties:
Perform school crossing guard duty
Participate in weekly department meetings
Manage event sheets and assist with event planning on campus
Participate in event setup such as all school meetings, parent education nights, and open houses
Performing periodic indoor and outdoor cleaning duties around campus
Responsible for opening and closing duties per the shift worked
Serve as the primary point of contact for EFGS on Saturdays for all rental activities and oversight
Skills & Qualifications--
The ideal candidate will possess:
Prior facilities, groundskeeping, custodial, or school campus experience preferred
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for prolonged periods of time
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming campus environments
Ability to support sustainable landscaping practices, including water conservation, composting, and environmentally responsible grounds care
Ability to identify and report landscape maintenance needs, safety hazards, and irrigation or drainage concerns
Ability to lift 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds
Ability to perform repetitive motion for prolonged periods of time
Enjoy being around children and part of a school community
Experience collaborating with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds
Flexible and collaborative team player
