What is exciting about power elevation is once this is installed on your power chair, owning it, proves the Medical Need for power elevation, therefore when you apply to get a new power chair and you tell them you have power elevation, your next chair will have power elevation, without any questions asked. Included is everything to make your wheelchair seat go up and down. Getting to eye level, and being able to reach for items on a shelf are invaluable for every wheelchair user. I helped a guy with getting eggs from the supermarket shelf the other day, and why can't people be allowed to be self sufficient with power elevation features???
We can install this for a $60/hour fee.
This was added to a wheelchair because Medicare would not pay for an elevating seat. No insurance will pay for power elevation if they can get away with it. The user went to a facility that wouldn't allow wheelchairs, and Medicare demanded the chair back, so they gave the power seat elevator back.
We can assist with justification for insurance reimbursement. While we are unable to take insurance, however if you buy this, there is a way to get fast reimbursement for the purchase and for installation.
Used approximately 2 months, less than 5 times.
A new unit retails for $3,500 plus tax, so this is a bargain. A dealer charges $250 per hour for labor and would only install a new one for you, usual excuse of liability issues, when it is really about profit.
