David Rowland is the famed designer of the ubiquitous 40/4 chair. The sof-tec chair is the bizarre sibling; stackable, comfortable, and colorful.
These chairs feature Rowland's revolutionary Soflex plastic-dipped sprung metal and are surprisingly comfortable and supportive.
Manufactured by Thonet, it's no coincidence that these chairs reference classic Thonet-produced Bauhaus chairs.
All chairs are vintage and in good, usable shape. Many of them have one or two places where the soflex plastic has cracked, as is typical with these chairs. Does not affect usability. Some chairs have small places where the chromed finish has worn away or has dented. All retain their original feet.
