1. Beautiful vintage sideboard designed by John Herbert for A. Younger Furniture, winner of a 1960 Furniture Makers' Guild design award. This piece from the Volnay collection features solid afromosia (African teak) top, sides, base and legs, contrasted by teak veneer door and drawer fronts with turned afromosia handles. Design cues include a subtle outward curve to the top surface, slightly rounded and raised sides, and beautifully tapered legs on a graceful stretcher base. Four dovetailed center drawers are flanked by cabinets on either side, each with a fixed-height shelf, and the top drawer is felt-lined with removable flatware dividers. It's a very high-quality piece in very good vintage condition, with some expected minor wear from age and use. 66" long, 19.5" deep at the center, 18" deep at the sides, 31.75" high on the top, 32.75" high at the sides. $1995.
2. Vintage mid-century sliding door teak sideboard, made in the U.K. 1960's. It features three drawers on the left, the top of which is felt-lined with dividers for flatware, and a pair of sliding doors on the right with a single removable shelf inside. The sliding doors are great for tight spaces, and both doors and drawers operate smoothly. The piece is in good vintage condition with some expected cosmetic wear from age and use. 64" long, 17" deep, 28.25" high. $1695.
3. Ercol vintage solid elm sideboard designed by Lucian Ercolani circa 1960's. This English buffet was built to a very high standard of quality, as were all Ercol furniture pieces. It is made of solid elm wood and has unique sculpted oval-shaped handles, gently rounded drawer and door fronts and exposed dovetailed joinery on the sides at the top and bottom. It rolls easily on original castor wheels. On the left are double cabinet doors opening to a large space with one long adjustable-height shelf, on the right is a single swinging cabinet door with a pull-out flatware drawer and open space below, and along the bottom are two dovetailed drawers. The back is finished so it can also be used as a room divider. Very good vintage condition with very minor wear for age and use. 51" long, 17.25" deep, 29.75" high. $1295.
4. Vintage mid-century long teak sideboard by A. H. McIntosh, made in Scotland circa 1960's. This piece features beautifully book-matched grain, subtly sculpted door and drawer handles, and tapered legs with stretcher base. A symmetrical layout offers a bank of dovetailed drawers on each end with double cabinet doors in the middle. The upper left drawer is felt-lined with dividers for flatware, and behind each door is a fixed-height shelf. The piece is in good vintage condition with some expected wear from age and use. 90" long, 18" deep, 30.75" high. $2895.
5. Vintage mid-century teak sideboard with beautiful book matched grain, bifold doors, unique square pulls and square legs with stretcher. Each set of drawers opens to space with an adjustable or removable shelf. Four dovetailed drawers on the right offer more storage, including the top one which is felt-lined and divided for flatware. This piece is in good vintage condition with some wear from age and use. The top has been refinished and looks great! 72" long, 17" deep, 28.5" high. $1450.
6. Vintage teak curved front sideboard with wooden ring door pulls, long sculpted wood drawer handles, and H-style tapered square legs. It's quite a charming piece, an interesting design with a bit more flair than many of its contemporaries. On the left is a cabinet with a swinging door opening to a fixed shelf, in the center is a drop-down door with a fixed shelf inside, and on the right are three drawers, the top of which retains its original flatware dividers over new green felt. The teak is lighter in color than most vintage teak pieces. Made in the UK by Beautility, it is stamped on the back with a date of 1969. It is in very good vintage condition with light wear for age and use. 72.5" long, 17" deep at the sides, 18.75" deep at the center, 30.5" high. $1495.
