1. A striking example of Danish modern design, this executive desk by Soren Willadsen Møbelfabrik is crafted from richly grained rosewood and features a beautifully aged black leather writing surface. Clean lines, expert craftsmanship, and warm materials come together to create a timeless centerpiece for any office or study. The front includes four drawers with recessed pulls and dovetail joinery. The two lower drawers are fitted with dual horizontal dividers, deal for organizing papers and supplies. A generously sized kneehole area adds comfort and practicality for daily use. Around the back, open bookcase-style shelving provides accessible storage and makes this piece perfect for floating in a room where it can be admired from all angles. Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. Some light scratches are present, primarily on the top. The rosewood surface shows areas of natural crazing, which is common on vintage Brazilian rosewood pieces and does not affect structural integrity. The leather inset has surface marks and patina from use. All drawers function smoothly, and the desk is solid throughout. 67" long, 33.5" deep, 28.75" high. Kneehole is 32.5" wide, 24.5" high. $2995.
2. George Nelson for Herman Miller desk number 4658, designed in the mid to late 1940s. This striking desk is constructed of a walnut cabinet supported by slanted steel legs with original tan leather writing surface and sliding upper doors. There are a series of shelves and small cubbies behind the leather wrapped sliding doors in the floating top cabinet. The desk features a perforated aluminum pull out file drawer on the right and a large, top opening storage box on the left with a leather handle. The back is finished so it's usable out in a room, and it looks very stylish from every angle. It is a rare model with lots of style and receives lots of attention. It has not been refinished and has lots of patina to the leather top and the wood, including scratches, small veneer chips and marks. The doors open easily, and the desk is sturdy. 54.25" wide, 28" deep, 40.25" high, 28" high at writing surface. $4995.
3. Vintage small walnut or teak writing desk with floating top, exposed legs and finished back. It features two dovetailed drawers, the bottom of which is a file drawer that can accommodate either letter or legal files. On the top are raised trim pieces near the sides and back, a nice added touch. The legs run along the outside of the drawers, and the other side is open for an airy look. The wood has nice grain and color, and the desk looks good from every angle. It's in good used condition, sturdy with a few cosmetic flaws including a few scuffs to the top. 45.25" wide, 26.5" deep, 30" high, raised trim adds .25" of height. $1395.
4. Gorgeous vintage Danish teak executive desk designed by Svend A. Madsen for Sigurd Hansen Mobelfabrik. This beauty features both a curved front and back, unique A-frame legs that give it a 'floating' look, a stylish raised edge on the top front, and a full-length bookcase on the front. This desk looks great from every angle and is designed to be shown off in the center of the room instead of against a wall. Six drawers provide nice storage for smaller items, and all drawers open and close nicely. It is in very good vintage condition with a few small dents, one on the top edge and a couple in the raised edge. 59" long at the front, 53" long at the back, 28" deep, 28.75" high. $3995.
5. Vintage teak flip top desk by Peter Lovig Nielsen and Jens Quistgaard, made in Denmark. It has an innovative design with a hinged top that flips down, expanding the work surface to accommodate another person on the other side in a partner desk style. There are four smoothly working drawers, one of which locks, with interesting wood handles on one side, and plenty of small storage spaces on both sides of the desk. It is a beautiful statement piece with plenty of workspace for today's work-from-home jobs. This particular desk was made in 1978, and it retains its Lovig Dansk Design and 1978 stamps on the underside. It has been refinished and is in very good vintage condition with some minor wear consistent with age and use. 63.75" wide, 28.75" deep, 29" high, 34.25" high at the back, when the top piece is flipped over it is 38" deep. $3495.
