This heavy-duty floating mantel bracket is Extremely STRONG! This is the strongest mantel bracket available anywhere.
It has a 3" tall backplate that is 3/16” inch thick. It also has 3/4” diameter rods, which make it perfect to float really thick and heavy floating mantels 3 1/2” thick and thicker.
These, like all floating shelf brackets, are best mounted to studs over Sheetrock. They are designed to be able to hit any and every stud that fall behind the bracket.
Made from 3/16" steel and professionally welded, and are more functional than decorative-only floating shelf and mantel brackets.
The 9” rod length is great for shelf and mantel depths of 12” to 16”.
