Experienced Kitchen Support – African & Caribbean Cuisine (Seattle)
Compensation:** $19.97/hr (Seattle minimum wage with room for growth)
Seeking experienced kitchen support for a fast-paced operation specializing in East African, West African, and Caribbean cuisine. This role is best suited for someone who is confident working in a professional kitchen environment and capable of supporting both food production and service flow.
Looking for someone dependable, efficient, and comfortable working independently during active service.
**This is NOT an entry-level role. Prior kitchen experience is required.**

**Responsibilities:**
* Food preparation, frying, and production support
* Assembly, plating, and packaging of orders
* Supporting kitchen efficiency during peak service
* Coordinating pickup orders and assisting with front-of-house flow
* Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards

**Required Qualifications:**
* Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced kitchen
* Ability to work independently and stay organized under pressure
* Reliable, punctual, and professional
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail
* Valid Washington State Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain)
**Strong preference for experience with:**
* East African cuisine (sambusas, chapati, pilau, stews)
* West African cuisine (jollof rice, fried foods, stews)
* Caribbean cuisine (jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantains)
* Frying and high-volume prep
