Hello, my name is Misha Dumov. I run a mobile glamping company called Happy Yarvi (https://happyyarvi.com). We set up large, furnished glamping tents for parties and events, typically in customers’ backyards. The company is based in Tacoma, but we work throughout Western Washington.
I’m building a pool of assistants to help with the setup and breakdown of our furnished, styled tents across the Greater Seattle area. Pay is $25/hour. Work is on an as-needed basis, typically on weekends, with a few hours for setup and a few hours for breakdown. While we can’t offer consistent hours yet, we’re looking to develop a reliable team for ongoing, as-needed work throughout the season.
The work includes loading and unloading a box truck, carrying gear to the site (often a backyard), setting up tents, furnishing and styling them, and then breaking everything down and packing it away.
I am looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit and comfortable with lifting 50 lbs , carrying, and being on their feet for extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions
- Respectful, courteous, and presentable at client locations
- Has experience with event setup, staging, or similar hands-on work
- Has an eye for style and interior design
- Has reliable transportation and can travel to job sites within ~ 30 miles of Seattle
- Able to follow instructions and also work independently when needed
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in creating a high-end, visually appealing setup
- Flexible, including weekends, and occasional short-notice bookings
