Summary of Responsibilities:

The candidate shall be responsible for the daily operations of a classroom in cooperation with co-teachers and under the direction of the Program Supervisor. Responsibilities include implementing curriculum and environmental design for a maximum of 20 children.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

2 years' experience with Children

Current First Aid/CPR/HIV/Bloodborne Pathogens certification and proof of negative T.B. test

Preferred Qualifications:

Infant-Toddler CDA or AA or AAS or 45 credits of Early Childhood/Child Development

Minimum 1-year lead teacher experience in a licensed child care facility

Personal Attributes:

Ability to meet social/emotional needs of young children

Ability to demonstrate communication skills

Ability to be self-motivated and problem-solve

Ability to develop partnerships with families and colleagues

Ability to be flexible and to grow as a professional

Essential Functions:

Implement curriculum and environment based on children’s needs and developmental levels

Maintain safety and health standards

Attend monthly staff meetings

Provide information to families and liaison between families and community resources
